One Last "I Told You So"

While Master Kirby has been learning to paint, some other kid has been pulling some different tricks out of her tiny sleeves.

See Little Dog. See the Little Dog roll over.

Basic, yes, so everybody knows how to roll over. It's one of the top five cliché dog commands, maybe. Out of focus, also, yes. But for us, roll over is one last rebuttal on the list of things that Little Dog does to prove Old Human wrong. Since she was told that she could never even walk up stairs, or otherwise be in any position other than upright- HAH TO THEM. No drugs, no pain, rolling over, jogging, and jumping. Could they have been any more wrong?

It can roll. It can do what it wants.

Masterpiece Theatre

Look on your refrigerator door. Do you have scribbly things there? Things that your children, grandchildren or nieces or nephews drew for you, on display for all?

Now I can have that too!

A certain 9-year-old drew this for me...

Yep. You guessed it...

He was feeling left out. Knowing that the Dog Scouts of America have been encouraging artistic dogs for a while now, and there are Elephants who have an artistic trunk, he couldn't imagine why he had never been allowed to try before.

I know why. Because the Dog Scouts of America, and the elephants both work with paint. While Kirby would make a fantastic finger paint artist, three dogs each with 3-5 inches of hair, and a pile of paint is just not a combination that is going to happen. So today, we brought out some markers, clickered for a few minutes, and he went at it. :)

Shall I frame it?

(P.S. Pretend that this is post-dated for tomorrow, I could have waited for tomorrow to post it, but I wanted to talk about it NOW!)

Crack Dog.

I Harbour Disappointment

Hey you, you with the face. I am unhappy with you.

Who, me?

Yes, you.

Remember that rat that was clearly trespassing this morning, and how you totally failed to kill it?

Wait, need a refresher?

This one here who was doing the Whirlwind/Razor Leaf/Agility combo attack to get away.

Don't you tell me you couldn't see it or you couldn't catch it. I know you stalk the undersides of cars and pull cats out of them. Sometimes you disappoint me, Dog.

Let the package receiving season commence! I ordered this a few weeks ago, and it arrived for Little Dog in the mail today...

Little Dog's first own collar! To date, she's been wearing hand-me-downs and sharing with the other Cotons, but it was time for her to get her own gear!

I am in LOVE with the colour and pattern, and it looks like it will stand up to some serious recklessness from one small and stumpy nut job of a Coton de Tulear. It looks elegant, but the fabric is tough and canvassy.

Thank you Freya's Studio!

More Stuff to Make Holly More Bitchy

Because that is really exactly what we needed. Here's the new thing:

A new treat ball! Because everybody knows that the house of Coton needs more toys. Actually, we really do need new treat balls, because somebody (perhaps somebody pink and fluffy) keeps consuming the entire balls. In favor of keeping everybody busy and sane, especially as the weather gets wetter out there, we need to invest in more interactive dog toys. We need the kind that require less human intervention, because really, I don't have enough arms required to entertain the amount of dogs that I have.

So far this treat ball has succeeded in turning Holly into a raving maniac who won't let Kirby or Little Dog into the room. Excellent.

More information on today's other buys at a later time. Don't look at me like that- it's not like I physically put the Tisol beside the tire place where my faithful vehicle was getting his winter feet put on.

Shh... Don't tell Kirby

Good evening. It's a known fact that it has been many years since Kirby's life has been blessed with this...

...Since his life has been over-run with girl dogs. Unfortunately, I probably will not be able to give him agility back for Christmas, but I wish we could try a *little* to repair his life to how it was pre-Little Dog.

Santa's informants have told me that Kirby might find one of these in his stocking on Christmas day if he is a good boy...

Woof!
